Text Box: Note: The interim qualifications below allow you to recover F-gas from automotive a/c systems until July 2010. After this date a further qualification will be required. Once available we will inform those in our contact us database so they may obtain the qualification prior to the 2010 deadline. To ensure you are kept up to date, please provide us with your details using our contact us section.

List of qualifications accepted as provisional certificates of competence to undertake recovery of refrigerant from automotive air conditioning systems between July 4th 2007 and the end of the transitional periods. Once the transitional period ends interim qualifications will no longer be valid and a specific refrigerant handling qualification must be obtained.
CITB qualifications and City and Guilds 2078 refrigerant handling qualifications are intended for the commercial air conditioning sector.
Please note, an automotive technician should have one of the following if recovering refrigerant from an air conditioning system.

Further Training
There are a number of air conditioning training courses commercially available to the automotive sector. The content of which varies dramatically as does the quality of the training provided.
Choosing to ignore any training content or quality issues, the cost's involved sending technicians on training courses can be expensive and disproportionate. Firstly, technician downtime (lost revenue), cost of travel/accommodation and the sometimes extortionate cost of the training itself. This of course provided the technician favours travelling and staying away from home.
To this end, AC Resource believes a viable and far more cost effective option is online training. This allows the technician to learn at their pace and in familiar surroundings (work or home environment). It also provides business advantages and significant cost savings.
